The Gastard Dog Club is held every Tuesday night in the Village Hall starting at 7.30pm at a cost of only £1.00 per session.
The aim of the Club is to promote well-behaved pet dogs. There are generally no bad dogs only bad owners who for one reason or another do not realise that all pets need training or treatment and therefore through kindness ill treat their animals.
Report by Ian Thompson
Police report a series of thefts of tools and equipment from garages and sheds. Farms are being targeted with major items of eqipment such as trailers and quadbikes being stolen.
Also being targeted are old buildings with stones tiles. The tiles are being stolen as they are in demand for property renovations. You are asked to be alert to any unusual or suspicious activity taking place in the area. Do not be afraid to contact the police as they are happy to check out any such reports.
Once again, you are reminded under no circumstances should your credit/devit card pin number be disclosed. All sorts of scames are prevalent in an effort by fraudsters to get their hands on your meony. There are inherent dangers in buying items on line that involve use of a credit card.
Gastard remains relatively crime free but vigilance is required at all times.
Monday nights in the Harp and Crown. This is not a fundraising event and all money raised is used for the prizes. Sessions held weekly starting at 7.30 prompt. All welcome.
