Rudloe Arms

Leafy Ln, Corsham, Bath SN13 0PA, UK – 01225 810555

Great night stay. Room was in the old house which was stunning. Quirky art work throughout. Evening meal was dry good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good and they were willing to exchange items. Walked around the grounds and enjoyed the feel of the place. Very relaxing stay.

I've been three times. I love it. Food excellent, environment wonderful. Can't wait to go back.

Guyers House

Guyers Lane, Pickwick, Corsham, Chippenham SN13 0PS, UK – 01249 713399

Lovely little place, beautiful building and surrounded by very tidy and spacious gardens where you might be lucky enough to see a Pheasant or 2. There is also the cutest little dog that runs around too. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the bar staff and Antonio. My only gripes were that the room decor was quite dated, and the shower unit wasn't great. Though the bathroom size was very lovely. I was in room 31 and the bed was really comfortable! Slept like a baby and woke up very refreshed. I would advise that anyone who stays in the rooms leave a window slightly cracked open as the rooms can get quite warm overnight! I also loved their breakfasts, best sausages I've had a hotel in a long while! Also had a good selection of continental breakfast options. Would recommend a stay here, whilst it is out of the way and secluded, it is actually nice to get out of the hustle and bustle of the city life, plus if the sky is clear at night. The stars are very clear

The staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is quite cozy. The building itself and the art seem very old, which even though that sort of thing isn't for me, I could still appreciate it.

The Methuen Arms

2 High St, Corsham SN13 0HB, UK – 01249 717060

Came here for a quick drink and to escape the heat. The bar had a nice atmosphere and I expect the restaurant would be lovely in the evenings

Good range on menu. Food imaginative. Really tasty. Interesting vegetarian options. Service good. Not the cheapest but worth it.

The Flemish Weaver

63 High St, Corsham SN13 0EZ, UK – 01249 701929

A very welcoming pub where the staff look to enjoy working there, and are full of banter but also very professional and smartly turned out. The decor is very mixed with militaria, oddities and local history. This makes it very comfortable and there's always something new to see when you turn your head. The food is very well priced and extremely well worth a visit. Where care and attention is paid to all components of the dishes, which are as far as possible from local sources and that pays off with the taste even down to the vegetables. Will I go again? Hell yes, lots.

An excellent experience. Great atmosphere. Helpful and friendly service. Lovely food. There was a real community feel. A buzzing evening with great people.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Hawkstone Bed and Breakfast

Bath Rd, Rudloe, Corsham SN13 0LP, UK – 01225 812152

Highly recommended. We stayed for 1 night 25-26th May 2013, the guest-book says it all. Despite being 6-7 miles outside of Bath, they have had visitors from all around the world and none could fault the b & b - neither could we. The room was beautifully presented with an en-suite (keep in mind this is a b&b), our host had no issue with us checking-in very late (about 22:45 and after a party) and the food the next morning was delicious. Check-out was supposed to be 10:00 but after mooching around following a gorgeous shower, we finally got around to it at about 10:50. The breakfast room opens out onto the beautiful and well kept garden and being just outside Bath meant that we could get to and from in under 15 mins yet enjoy the clean and quiet of the countryside.

Clean friendly quiet great breakfast.

t's b and bs

Lower Rudloe Farm, Corsham SN13 0PB, UK – 07515 856508

Very welcoming and comfortable. The supplied breakfast was fresh, and the room was cozy. The only thing I would suggest is to have dog beds available for customers who have dogs, who paid the dog surcharge (£10).

Nice looking place quite well hidden from busy life

Norbin Farm

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!
