Guyers House

Guyers Lane, Pickwick, Corsham, Chippenham SN13 0PS, UK – 01249 713399

Beautiful hotel. Lovely rooms. Good choice of breakfast items. Very quiet and quite remote but didn't mind that. Staff in restaurant absolutely wonderful, made us feel very welcome. Locally sourced products for breakfast and dinner was outstanding.

Attended a wedding. Lovely location. Not sure about the bar staff's dubious pricing though... £22 for a double mixers and a pint at the beginning then suddenly £10 for just one double mixer....

The Methuen Arms

2 High St, Corsham SN13 0HB, UK – 01249 717060

The hotel is going through major refurbishment and all has been done very tastefully so far. Lovely outdoor and garden area. I have been here for breakfast meetings and the service and food has been first class. Congratulations on the good work you are doing Methuen Arms!

The building and decor is beautiful and spotless. Service is lacking slightly, although I believe we were being served by a new member of staff as they had no product knowledge and were nervous. The other staff were helpful and inviting. Materials requested for the meeting we're not provide. The food was well presented and cooked although I wasn't blown away by it.

Rudloe Arms

Leafy Ln, Corsham, Bath SN13 0PA, UK – 01225 810555

Great night stay. Room was in the old house which was stunning. Quirky art work throughout. Evening meal was dry good and reasonably priced. Breakfast was very good and they were willing to exchange items. Walked around the grounds and enjoyed the feel of the place. Very relaxing stay.

Good restaurant and very happy with the breakfast! Rooms good standard. However, not happy with health and safety to the hotel annex. Poor lighting, trip hazards and fire and evacuation not up to standard expected. Needs sorting asap!

The Flemish Weaver

63 High St, Corsham SN13 0EZ, UK – 01249 701929

We regularly visit the Flemish Weaver and are always welcomed by the friendly staff. They are helpful and knowledgeable and it is not unusual to find hot roast potatoes on the bar on Sundays! Well worth a visit.

We booked a table for 6 for our annual reunion at short notice and it was the best meal we have had in years Excellently cooked and presented. First class service and good prices. This has got to be the best pub meal for 50 miles.

Travel Super Market search and compare prices for hotels all over the world. Could also be useful for you. I This said I was told by a hotelier that the way to get cheap rooms is to ring up the week before and ask for the weekend rate. You can usually get an absolute bargain as they will trying to book all the rooms that they have not sold! Could be worth a try!

Bed & Breakfast Accommodation plus Guesthouses

Hawkstone

Bath Rd, Rudloe, Corsham SN13 0LP, UK – 01225 812152

Highly recommended. We stayed for 1 night 25-26th May 2013, the guest-book says it all. Despite being 6-7 miles outside of Bath, they have had visitors from all around the world and none could fault the b & b - neither could we. The room was beautifully presented with an en-suite (keep in mind this is a b&b), our host had no issue with us checking-in very late (about 22:45 and after a party) and the food the next morning was delicious. Check-out was supposed to be 10:00 but after mooching around following a gorgeous shower, we finally got around to it at about 10:50. The breakfast room opens out onto the beautiful and well kept garden and being just outside Bath meant that we could get to and from in under 15 mins yet enjoy the clean and quiet of the countryside.

Clean friendly quiet great breakfast.

T's

Lower Rudloe Farm, Corsham SN13 0PB, UK – 07515 856508

Very welcoming and comfortable. The supplied breakfast was fresh, and the room was cozy. The only thing I would suggest is to have dog beds available for customers who have dogs, who paid the dog surcharge (£10).

This is one of the best places we have stayed in. The location is super;quiet , serene and beautiful. The accommodation is sophisticated and luxurious without being pretentious. The fridge is stocked with bacon, eggs and sausages, all from the farm and everything else you need. Cara, the owner simply cannot do enough for you. This place is definitely in my list of all time favourites.

Location was lovely

If you would like something truly different you might like to have a look at Airbnb. These are mostly B and Bs provided by people on a very informal basis. The may have a spare room, a yurt, a cottage or a barge with space they can receive guests for a night or a month! The website is highly professional. You can really see what you are going to get. Very well worth a look. Airbnb also show 'conventional' B&Bs as well. Enjoy!

We have stayed on two occasions in the last two months and we had to say it is without doubt one of the best CL's we've ever stayed on. Giles and Fiona try to greet everyone personally on arrival, and the site is kept very tidy. The WC is also cleaned on a daily basis. The site is situated in a ideal location for Bath area with excellent walks within minutes of the site. Thanks again for a lovely stay. Ray & Anne Stride

What a stunning location, fair takes your breath away. Absolutely perfect. A lovely grassed area surrounded by mature trees, which catches the sun througout the day. Plenty of room for the 5 cl status. A small building on the other side of the access road houses a wc, a sink for washing pots, elsan poin and a small tourist information shelf. All kept immaculately clean. The other asset to this cl is the owners FIona and Giles. Even though I had need to change my dates booked, and at short notice, nothing was a problem for them. I was updated by return email that my changes would be accommodated. Excellent customer service. You may purchase eggs, home grown apple juice and a honey that was in the hive the day before purchase. Such a delightful taste we bought a further two jars for friends. All that and only a short journey from the local tourist sites of Bath and even Bristol. There's an excellentl village pub a matter of minutes walk down the road that has fabulous meals and several real ales. What more can you want on a holiday.
